You get everything in Wedding Management, plus unlimited scheduled planning calls, vendor recommendations, and a personalized planning portal that keeps everything in one place from the start.The difference comes down to timing: Wedding Management is concentrated in the final stretch. Planning & Coordination is support throughout, as decisions and questions come up.

For couples who want more involved design support, rental options and styling assistance are available as well.The goal isn't to redesign your wedding — it's experienced guidance that makes decisions simpler and the process smoother.

Use them to talk through vendors, timelines, décor ideas, logistics, or whatever decision you're sitting on that week.Evening and weekend times are available — most couples are planning a wedding around full-time jobs, and calls shouldn't be one more thing you have to take PTO for.Some couples check in often, some go quiet for a stretch and resurface when something comes up. Both are fine — the support flexes to what your wedding needs.

How does the timeline creation work?

We build a detailed timeline covering the whole day — rehearsal through send-off. It includes hair and makeup, photography windows, vendor arrivals, ceremony flow, and the reception sequence.You don't get one timeline — you get several. A bride's timeline, a groom's timeline, individual timelines for the wedding party, and, for DIY weddings, a single organized sheet of family tasks so nobody's guessing who's handling what. Your vendors get the pieces that apply to them, which means fewer people texting you the morning of.You'll also get a décor inventory and packing list — what you brought, where it goes, and what comes home at the end of the night.We build it together. I'll ask about the moments that matter most to you and where you'd rather have breathing room, then work backward from there. It gets refined as details firm up, so what you have at the end is what actually happens.

Your planning portal is set up specifically for your wedding and how you like to work.Inside you'll find guest and detail trackers, budget tracking, planning checklists, vendor recommendations and vendor tracking if you're still booking, timeline support, contact organization, and personalized planning documents. You'll also get access to the Google planning suite, so everything stays editable and shareable.Where I have it, I'll add resources specific to your area — local venues, vendors, and the planning considerations that come with getting married here.It's one place for everything, so you're not hunting through email threads and screenshots to find the thing you wrote down two months ago.

What if my wedding needs more support than the package includes?

Every wedding is different. Planning & Coordination includes me and an assistant on the day, which covers most weddings and a reasonable amount of décor setup.Some days need more — a large candle count, hanging or floral installations, a venue that requires parking attendants, bartenders, or décor that's simply more than two people can place in the setup window.I can staff all of that. If your wedding is heading that direction, I'll tell you early, not the week of, and it gets priced in your proposal so you're deciding with real numbers.A few things that aren't automatically included: full venue cleanup and trash removal, moving tables and chairs, food service, bussing, and bar support. All of those can be added with staffing — just ask and we'll build it in.Full scope is outlined in your proposal.

When should I book Planning & Coordination?

Most couples book Planning & Coordination right after they secure their venue — you have a date, you have a location, and the rest of the decisions are about to start arriving.That said, there's no wrong time. Some couples book a year out and use the full runway. Others come to me eight months in, already partway through, and we pick up from where they are.If you're wondering whether it's too early, it isn't. If you're wondering whether it's too late, ask — I'll tell you honestly whether Planning & Coordination still makes sense for your timeline or whether Wedding Management is the better fit at this point.

What is the deposit and payment structure?

A $500 deposit reserves your date. From there, you can either make payments over time or pay the balance in full — whatever works better for your budget. The full balance is due 60 days before your wedding.Most couples spread it out. If you'd like a payment schedule built around your own timeline, just say so and we'll set one up.

Do you visit our venue before the wedding?

Yes. Planning & Coordination includes a venue walkthrough to talk through layout, guest flow, ceremony logistics, and where your décor will actually live on the day. Walking a space in person is how you catch the things a floor plan doesn't show — a tight doorway, a slope you didn't notice, where the sun will be at four o'clock.I also attend your ceremony rehearsal to run processional flow, timing, and responsibilities with everyone involved, so nobody's guessing the next day.I work throughout Nevada County and the Sierra Foothills, and regularly travel to Tahoe, Truckee, and the greater Sacramento area. For venues more than an hour out, travel is quoted in your proposal so there are no surprises.

Do I need a wedding planner if my venue has a coordinator?

It's a fair question, and the short answer is that they're two different jobs.A venue coordinator works for the venue. They handle the building, the staff, the catering, and the hours you've contracted — and the good ones are excellent at it. But their responsibility ends at the property line. They aren't building your timeline, managing your outside vendors, running your rehearsal, placing your décor, or standing with you when something shifts.I work for you. Your timeline, your vendors, your family, your day. If your florist is late, that's mine to solve. If your aunt needs somewhere to sit, that's mine too.Most couples end up with both, and that's the right setup — the venue coordinator and I work together, each covering what we're actually responsible for. If you're not sure what your venue's coordinator covers, send me your contract and I'll tell you honestly where the gaps are.

Planning & Coordination, which includes guidance throughout your planning, starts at $2,500, and most couples land between $2,500 and $4,000 depending on guest count, venue logistics, décor, and overall complexity.Where you land depends on your guest count, how much of the planning you want to hand off, and how much setup your day involves.If you tell me your date, venue, and rough guest count, I can give you a real number rather than a range.

I'm based in Grass Valley and work throughout Nevada County and the Sierra Foothills, and I regularly travel for weddings in Nevada City, Auburn, Truckee, North Lake Tahoe, and the greater Sacramento area.For venues more than an hour out, travel is quoted in your proposal — no surprises, and you'll see it before you sign.If you're getting married somewhere I haven't worked before, that's not a problem. It just means an earlier venue walkthrough so I know the space as well as you do by the time your date arrives.

What happens if it rains or something goes wrong on the wedding day?

Something always shifts. A vendor runs late, the wind picks up, someone forgets the marriage license on the kitchen counter. In eight years I've never had a wedding go exactly to plan, and I've never had one that didn't come together.That's most of what you're hiring me for. By the time your day arrives, I know your timeline well enough to rebuild it in my head, and I know which pieces can move and which can't. If the ceremony has to shift indoors, we've already talked about what that looks like — rain plans get made during planning, not on the morning of.What you'll mostly notice is what you don't notice. The goal is that you find out about the problem after it's solved, if at all. Your job that day is to get married and be with your people. Mine is everything else.
